Photoshoot with Stephanie

My childhood friend, Stephanie, has recently started taking pictures. She asked if she could come and take some pictures of my kiddos, and of course I was excited to have the opportunity to have her take my kids pictures. We got a lot more of Michael than we did Audrey. Audrey was in that baby stage where it is almost impossible to get good pictures. But Stephanie was able to get a few. And Michael was cooperating, so she went crazy with him. LOL I think they all turned out so great! I loved them all. She is super talented. Stephanie, thank you so much for a lovely day. It was awesome to just hang out with you and your pictures are GREAT!!! You are an awesome photographer!

1st Pumpkin Patch Visit

Every year we make a couple of trips out to the Flower Mound Punpkin Patch. I love this place. They have bounce houses, hay rides, barrel rides, and tons of picture taking opportunities. Our 1st trip out was with Auntie M and KyKy. We didn't get to go on a hay ride becasue it had rained SO much the week before it was too muddy!

Choo Choo Soul

We were able to get tickets to go and see Choo Choo Soul in concert. If you don't know what this is...it is a short (like 5-7 minutes) show that come on the Disney Channel. Anyways, Michael loved Choo Choo Soul, so when I heard they were going to be in town, we dicided it would be fun for him. Well, he kinda had fun. It was right in the middle of his nap so he was a little cranky, but all in all i think he had fun.

One afternoon, we decided that the weather was just TOO nice to be indoors. Having an infant you find yourself indoors ALOT!!!! There is a big pond in our neighborhood, so we decided we would take Michael and Audrey to feed the ducks. Michael had so much fun throwing the bread crumbs to the ducks.

So, a friend of a friend of a friend is a beginner photographer. She was needing subjects to photograph for her portfolio and needed a newborn. So I gladly offered for Audrey to be her subject. I think they turned out pretty good.

We went to see Mimi on August 26th so she could meet Audrey. Mimi just loved on her. I think she slept the whole time. So content in her Great Mimi's arms.

At 8:28 a.m. on August 20, 2009 our sweet baby girl entered this world! She is so precious! She came out screaming and it was the sweetest sound. Aaron got to stand up and watch her being born. (He didn't get to do this with Michael) He thought it was pretty weird...but AWESOME! She was 8 pounds 10 ounces. The hospital measured her length at 22 inches long. BUT, we went to the pedi the following Monday and they measured her 3 times and she was 21 1/4th inches long. So that is what we will go with.

After she was born they took us to the recovery room. We were able to spend the 1st hour of Audrey's life with her. It was so sweet to be able to spend that special time with her. After an hour, Audrey was taken to the nursery to take her bath. Audrey was having a little trouble with her breathing levels, so they had to wait for her levels to be normal before they could give her a bath. So it took a little while for them to bring her to our room. But when she got there, she was greeted with lots of family and friends. We are so blessed to have such great family and friends.
