Swing me, Daddy!

Aaron was holding Audrey when he got home from work yesterday. He started to swing her back and forth and every time he stopped, she would shake her head back and forth and smile. She does this everytime now. It is so cute. And when you pick her up, if she wants you to swing her, she will shake her head back and forth. LOL.

4th of July

For the 4th of July, we went down to Granbury again this year. We always have so much fun down there. Aaron gets to shot off fireworks which he LOVES, and I think he has passed that trait on to Michael. Michael had so much fun doing sparklers and Roman candles. Michael calls the Roman candles "sticks". He kept telling us he wanted to do the stick again. It took us a while to figure out he was talking about the Roman candle. LOL. Poor Audrey fell asleep right before the fireworks started and slept all the way through them. She had a big day. Neena and Uncle G came out to watch the fireworks with us. All in all, it was a good day spent with family and friends.

Swim Lessons

Well, Michael is at the age now that swim lesson have become necessary. He loves to go swimming and is not afraid of the water, so here we are. He goes to swim class everyday, Monday through Thursday from 5:00 to 5:30 for 2 weeks. We have done 2 classes so far (rain out on Monday) but he seems be be doing well. He HATES to put his face underwater. Ms. Ruhde (http://www.swimwithsuccess.com/) has to "help" him put his head under water. We went home and got in the bath tub and practiced putting his face in the water. I think with time he will become more comfortable with it.
Floating on his back. This was the 1st day. He would not relax his body. He has already gotten a little better at this.
In this video, they are given a stick. Ms. Ruhde holds the stick under water and the kids have to put their faces in the water and get the stick. Michael didn't like doing this at all. This video is the last time that he did it. It was a major improvement from the 1st time.
In this video, they slide down the slide and Ms. Ruhde catches them. They then swim back to the steps. Again, Michael doesn't want to put his head in the water and Ms. Ruhde has to "help" him put his face in the water. But he does stick out his tounge as far as he can while he is kicking his feet. LOL

On the Move

So, last week Audrey took her first steps. We would put her at the end of the sofa and she would take a couple of very wobbly steps and then fall into our arms. She wouldn't walk very far or very long so I wasn't able to get the camera out in time. But last night she was walking so good and was having so much fun. So, I grabbed the camera and was able to get it on video.

**I am not sure what or why Michael is yelling. LOL**

1st Ranger Game

So, the other day, Aaron took Michael to his 1st Ranger game. Michael is SUPER into baseball and loves everything baseball. He is always wanting to watch the Rangers on TV, so he was super excited to get to go and watch the Rangers in person! They went to the game with their buddies Ryan and Zachary.
So, since this was Michael's 1st Ranger game, I sent Aaron with a camera and told him that he needed to take lots of pictures of Michael. Aaron is not a big picture taker but I thought since it was Michael's 1st time, Aaron would come through. Yea...not so much! I got a few pictures of Michael waiting for Daddy to come and pick him up and Aaron got 3 pictures at the game. Yes, that's right...3! And not only did he only get 3 pictures of him...they were all the SAME!!!! Oh well, I guess I will have to go next time and make sure to get pictures. LOL

Here is Micahel being all cute...waiting for Daddy to come and pick him up

And these are the 3 pictures Aaron took. LOL. At least you can tell he is having a good time and that he is at a baseball game.

Thanks Daddy, Ryan and Zachary for making Michael's 1st Ranger Game fun!

Memorial Day Weekend

We had a nice and relaxing Memorial Day Weekend. We didn't do much...we went over to my parents house to hang out by the pool so the kids could go swimming. It took a little while for Michael to warm up to the idea of getting into the pool. Aaron had to work with him slowly. First they put their feet in the pool, then they had to touch the square tiles on the steps, and then the 2nd step, and so on. Finally, he was jumping off the side. And then we couldn't get him out of the pool. I forgot my camera so I didn't get any pictures, except one of Audrey (that I took with my phone) since it was her first time in the pool. It also took her a little while to warm up to the pool. But, like her brother, once she got in she loved it!

And yesterday, Audrey started standing all by herself! Michael was so proud of her. He kept telling her, "Great Job, Audrey!" It was really cute!
